That Way

This Way

Stone henge at the summer solstice a few years ago. Most of the light, revealing the individuals in these pictures was created by technological devices, such as phones and camera’s.

By the time the darkness came, the swell of the crowd accumulated, everybody talked to everybody.

An old man in a cowboy hat was sitting next to me on a rock, attempting to explain the mystery of how the stones arrived and their use.  Every so often a wave of sound, cheering, shouting, whistles and horns would rise and fall in a motion that culminated at Dawn, there was no room to move by this time, everyone was still.  It seemed as if absolutely everyone was silent and waiting.

The light began, then so did the people. Nobody had any cigarettes left.
