Photographic print, Collage, Oil paint, Graphite

& Spray paint

This piece, also influenced by the Japanese Tsunami, started it's life as a Photo of a window to a summer house in my local park, the wash of paint being already there, unfinished, as if it was placed in order to cover the whole window, yet remained incomplete, flowing up and sideways over the square panels.

The image connected because of the relation between the structured pattern of the crop fields and the window segments. The news clips showed the water and debris traveling over the land, viewed from a helicopter, carrying the content of the land in its path.

As the torrent proceeded, the structured square and rectangle crop fields were consumed and transformed, similar to the windows of the house.
